Located between the villages of Kötek and Bayam, the Bayam Red Rocks draw attention with their interesting rock formations and red tones shaped as a result of natural erosion. The mushroom-shaped rocks rising on thin sand layers create beautiful landscapes, especially when viewed from the air.
Tourism and Nature Sports Potential
Remaining outside classical tourism routes, the region holds significant potential in terms of nature hiking, photography, and nature sports with its natural structure and unique scenery. The rocky areas surrounded by greenery offer impressive views for photography enthusiasts.
Bringing the Region into Tourism
Harun Ağdaş, President of the Kağızman Mountaineering and Nature Sports Club, stated that the Bayam Red Rocks located in the Kağızman district resemble the canyons found in the US state of Arizona. Expressing that as sports clubs they occasionally organize hikes to the region, Ağdaş noted that they want the region to be brought into tourism and invited nature enthusiasts.
