Beşiktaş Faces Maccabi Rapyd in Belgrade for Second Europa League Match
The black-and-white team will play against the Israeli representative in Serbia in the tournament they returned to after a 13-year hiatus.
Beşiktaş will face Maccabi Rapyd in the Serbian capital of Belgrade in the second-week match of the EuroLeague, which they are participating in after a 13-season hiatus.
Details of the Match in Belgrade
Beşiktaş will play its second match in the EuroLeague at the Aleksandar Nikolic Sports Hall in the Serbian capital of Belgrade. The match is scheduled to start at 21:05 TSI.
Neutral Venue Decision Due to Security Reasons
The Israeli team plays its home matches outside its country due to security reasons. While Israeli representatives are allowed to host matches in various countries across Europe, some of their away matches, including those in Turkey, are moved to neutral venues due to the potential for provocative actions, eliminating the home-court advantage.
First Week Result
Beşiktaş, returning to the EuroLeague after 13 seasons, was defeated 96-94 by Spain's Valencia Basket in its opening-week home match in the organization.
Past Match Record
Having faced Maccabi Rapyd twice before in its history, the black-and-white team suffered defeats with scores of 77-55 and 101-58 in those encounters.
