Death Toll Rises in Batman Gym Fire
Another person injured in a fire at a private gym has died in the hospital, bringing the total death toll to three.
The death toll from the fire at a gym in Batman's Gültepe neighborhood rose to three after Gülsüm Öztekin Tunç, who was seriously injured, also passed away.
Development of the Incident and Death Toll
A fire had broken out for reasons yet unknown at a private gym located in Batman's Gültepe neighborhood. In the incident where Şanziment Sarıoğlu and Emine Yağri had previously lost their lives, 27-year-old Gülsüm Öztekin Tunç, who was heavily injured, lost her battle for life in the hospital.
Hospital Treatment Process
Seriously injured Gülsüm Öztekin Tunç, who was taken to Batman Training and Research Hospital following the fire, could not be saved despite all medical interventions. It was learned that Emine Yağni, who lost her life, was the niece of Treasury and Finance Minister Mehmet Şimşek.
Funeral Procedures and Investigation
The bodies of the deceased individuals were handed over to their families and buried after autopsy procedures were completed. While the investigation initiated by the Batman Chief Public Prosecutor's Office continues meticulously, it was announced that inspectors were also assigned to the incident by the Ministry of Labor and Social Security.
