World-renowned Dutch beach volleyball figures Stefan Boermans and Katja Stam have been designated as the new promotional faces and ambassadors of Alanya in international sports tourism.

Ranking among the most prestigious names in world beach volleyball, Dutch athletes Stefan Boermans and Katja Stam have become the promotional faces of Alanya for sports tourism.

Having visited the district at various times to experience the city's rich beach volleyball infrastructure, the star athletes will carry Alanya's global brand value to international tournaments.

Olympic and European Champions in Alanya

Following Stefan Boermans, who will compete in the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games, Katja Stam, holding the title of 2026 European Champion, was also hosted in Alanya between September 21-26.

This agreement will directly contribute to the district's goal of spreading the tourism season to 12 months and ensure that Alanya becomes a global sports attraction center.

Facility Inspection by Katja Stam

Within the scope of the visit that enhances Alanya's strength in international networks, Katja Stam closely examined the 23 Projects Alanya International Beach Sports Center.

Touring the beaches of Alanya and expressing her admiration for the city's atmosphere, Stam emphasized that a sports center this close to the sea, unlike anything she had seen anywhere else in the world, is located in Alanya.

Stating that she very much liked the sand quality of the facility and the shaded areas around it, Stam noted that provisions have been made for spectators to comfortably watch the matches.
