Özbağı stated that the amount he will cover is approximately 1 million dollars, which is the cost of the architectural, static, and reinforced concrete projects.

Misconception Regarding Project Cost

Fenerbahçe Sports Club Board Member Nihat Özbağı stated in his remarks at Chobani Stadium that his speech at the general assembly was misunderstood. Noting that a perception was created that he would personally cover the entire construction cost of the project, Özbağı expressed his desire to rectify this situation.

Undertaken Amount and Construction Expenses

Özbağı explained that the amount he stated he would undertake covers all the architectural, static, and reinforced concrete projects, and this is a portion of approximately 1 million dollars. He reported that the construction expenditure, projected to be around 50 million euros, will be covered by the club through sponsorship, suite, and season ticket sales revenues.

Birth of the Stadium Project and the Process

Reminding that they developed this project upon Aziz Yıldırım stating that the stadium's capacity was low and its acoustics needed improvement, Özbağı noted that the project was presented at the congress and received great acclaim. It was stated that capacity increase works were initiated following the election.

Construction Calendar and Target Date

Stating that the stadium projects are finished and currently in the approval phase, Nihat Özbağı said they foresee starting construction in mid-November. He conveyed that the project is estimated to be completed in 12 months and is planned to be finished in November 2027.
