The 1st Gia Lai Provincial Sports Festival, held for the first time in 2026, officially opened with an enthusiastic ceremony at Quy Nhon Stadium, drawing over 3,000 athletes from 138 sectors, units, and localities across the province.

The opening ceremony of the 2026 1st Gia Lai Provincial Sports Festival took place on the evening of September 8 at Quy Nhon Stadium in Gia Lai province. This major event was organized in the first year of the implementation of the two-tier local government model.
Participant Profile and Disciplines
The grand gathering brought together more than 3,000 athletes, over 600 coaches, and 500 referees from 138 sectors, units, and localities throughout the province. Athletes are competing fiercely across a total of 21 different sports disciplines.
Competition Schedule and Venues
The final round of the games is taking place from September 1 to 15 in the districts of Pleiku, Quy Nhon, and An Nhon Nam. During this final phase, seven key sports disciplines are being showcased to sports enthusiasts.
