Göztepe'de Ankersen soruları yanıtladı

Göztepe President Rasmus Ankersen shared in detail the club's long-term growth targets, financial sustainability principles, and young player transfer strategies.

Long-Term Growth and Playing Philosophy

Stating that they aim to establish a structure for the yellow-red club that can grow continuously in the coming years, Danish football figure Rasmus Ankersen said they aim to build a strong club that will sustain its growth for 5 to 10 years.

Stating that, unlike other clubs in Turkey, they have adopted a vertical playing style targeting high tempo and direct attack, Ankersen noted that their targets are young talents with high development potential rather than names at the end of their careers.

Financial Sustainability and Player Sales

Reminding that the club has an annual operating loss of approximately 5 to 6 million Euros, Ankersen stated that due to financial sustainability, selling players from time to time is an inevitable necessity to close this gap.

Listing attractive offers from Europe's giant leagues and making the club an attractive hub for young talents as other reasons, Ankersen emphasized by giving the example of Romulo that they will continue to discover and shine names with potential.

European Goals and Coach Stoilov

Stating that Göztepe's main goal is to compete in European cups, Ankersen stated that they will not compromise on financial discipline and shared the example of Adana Demirspor.

Stating that the squad depth is stronger compared to last year, Ankersen announced that head coach Stanimir Stoilov has full authority in transfer processes and rejected an offer from a major club in the summer due to his loyalty to Göztepe.
