Groundbreaking Ceremony Held
The official groundbreaking ceremony for the Swimming Pool and Sports Complex, to be brought to Nurtepe Neighborhood by the Kağıthane Municipality, was held with great enthusiasm.
While the facility aims to make a major contribution to the district's sports infrastructure, district residents and officials showed high participation in the ceremony.
Multi-Purpose Structure of the Facility
This newly constructed modern complex will serve as a multi-purpose center where swimming, fitness, and different sports branches can be easily practiced under one roof.
This project, to be implemented in Nurtepe Neighborhood, will facilitate the local residents' access to sporting activities.
Semi-Olympic Pool Features
The pool to be built within the scope of the project is designed to be 25 meters long and 12.5 meters wide, planned to consist of a total of 5 lanes.
Having a depth of two meters, the semi-olympic swimming pool will offer a total usage area of 312.5 square meters for the service of athletes.
Cardio and Fitness Gyms
In addition to the swimming pool, the complex will also feature a spacious free weight and cardio gym of 293 square meters.
Furthermore, the facility will house a separate sports area of 153 square meters and a special sports studio of 83 square meters for the use of sports enthusiasts.
Locker Rooms and Open Areas
Modern locker rooms have also been meticulously designed within the complex to fully meet the needs of the athletes.
In the open areas of the facility, there will be football and basketball fields that neighborhood residents and youth can benefit from.

Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Kağıthane Mayor Mevlüt Öztekin stated that they continue to increase sports investments in the district with determination.
Mayor Öztekin expressed that the Nurtepe Swimming Pool and Sports Complex will add very significant value to the neighborhood and all the people of the district.
