Istanbul Kent University wins 12 medals at the European Championship
Competing in the Interuniversity European Championship, Istanbul Kent University achieved significant rankings in karate, taekwondo, and kickboxing branches.
Istanbul Kent University won a total of 12 medals in karate, taekwondo, and kickboxing at the European Championship, which saw the participation of 425 universities.
General Success Table at the Championship
Istanbul Kent University reached a total of 12 medals, including 5 gold and 7 bronze, at the international organization featuring over 1,600 athletes. The university also completed the championship with 3 cups.
Degrees of the Kickboxing Team
Winning 3 gold and 2 bronze medals in the kickboxing branch, Sena Amine Nur Özgen, Hilal Orhan Kurt, and Ali Osman Sırma won gold medals for the university. Özge Üçtaş Aslancı won a bronze medal.
Medals in the Karate Branch
In karate competitions, Ekrem Altuner Yılmaz became the European champion in the 67 kg kumite category. Rabia Elik and Emre Vefa Göktaş achieved third place in individual competitions.
Taekwondo Competition Results
Competing in the taekwondo branch, Esra Akbulak reached the top in the women's +73 kg category, while Görkem Polat won a bronze medal in the men's 58 kg category.
