Recalled Products and Scope
According to the official announcement published by the US Food and Drug Administration, the recall covers the Lemon Lime, Lime Zero, Orange, and Orange Zero varieties in 28-ounce bottles.
Reason for Recall and Risk Status
The reason cited for the recall of these products is Yellow No. 6 and Yellow No. 5 food dyes, which were not declared on the label for sensitive individuals.
According to FDA classification, this situation is evaluated under the Class II recall category and is stated to potentially cause temporary health issues.
Affected States and Process
It was announced that the initiative was launched by PepsiCo on September 25, and regions such as Alaska, California, New York, and Texas are among the 37 states where the process is being implemented.
