Most Applications for Bulgaria's Presidential Election Made from Turkey

Latest Status in Applications from Abroad
According to the statement made by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bulgaria, a total of 35,131 Bulgarian citizens from 72 different countries registered to vote abroad.
Distribution of Applications by Country
While 12,210 citizens from Turkey applied for the election, this country was followed by the United Kingdom with 5,203 applications and Germany with 3,519 applications.
Participation Rates in Other Countries
According to the data, 2,507 people from the USA, 1,919 from Spain, and 1,036 from the Netherlands applied to vote in the elections.
Electronic Application Process and Rules
Citizens living abroad can complete their electronic applications through the internet platform of the Central Election Commission of Bulgaria.
Voters who do not make an electronic application will also have the right to vote by signing a declaration at the ballot box on election day.
Election Calendar and Possible Second Round
The first round of the presidential election in Bulgaria will be held on October 25, and if no result is achieved in the first round, the second round is planned to be held on November 1.
