Super Lig goal announced at sports summit in Malatya

Investments made in the city and future sports goals were discussed at the sports summit held at the Central Sports Hall in Malatya.

Investments and Facilities

Malatya Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Sami Er drew attention to the ongoing sports investments totaling 4 billion lira in the city. Stating that 2.5 billion lira worth of sports investments are currently about to be completed, Er noted that an additional 1.5 billion lira investment is ready with new protocols. In addition, the construction of approximately 43 sports facilities continues so that young people can benefit from sports.

Emphasis on the Super Lig

Emphasizing that their main goal is to protect young people from bad habits, Mayor Sami Er stated that they aim for an ambitious Malatya in every branch of sports in the future. Er expressed that they expect Malatya football to enter the Super Lig in a very short time, within a few years.

Views of Former Footballers

Former footballer Hamdi Mandıralı, who attended the summit, stated that Malatya is a city worthy of the Super Lig. Ahmet Dursun expressed that Malatya is a football city and that important investments are being made for the development of sports in the city.

Football Academy Project

Tanju Çolak congratulated national boxer Hatice Akbaş from Malatya, reminding everyone that she won a gold medal at the European championships. Çolak announced that they plan to establish the Metropolitan Municipality Football Academy together in Malatya by discussing it with the mayor.
