A widely attended evaluation meeting addressing the investments of the Provincial Directorate of Youth and Sports was held in Trabzon. At the gathering, where the city's sports infrastructure was discussed, it was announced that the goal is to increase the current number of nearly 87,000 licensed athletes to at least 100,000.

Trabzon's Sports Infrastructure Evaluated

A comprehensive evaluation meeting addressing the investments of the Provincial Directorate of Youth and Sports was held in Trabzon. Important figures came together at this gathering, where the city's sports potential was discussed.

High Participation Consultation Meeting

Trabzon Governor Tahir Şahin and Adil Karaismailoğlu, Chairman of the Parliamentary Committee on Public Works, Reconstruction, Transportation and Tourism, attended the meeting. In addition, AK Party Trabzon Deputies Yılmaz Büyükaydın and Vehbi Koç took part in the meeting.

Trabzon Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ahmet Metin Genç and AK Party Trabzon Provincial Chairman Sezgin Mumcu were also present at the meeting and shared their views regarding sports activities in the city.

Goal of 100 Thousand Licensed Athletes

Speaking at the meeting, AK Party Trabzon Deputy Yılmaz Büyükaydın stated that there are currently nearly 87,000 licensed athletes in the city. Büyükaydın announced that they aim to elevate this existing potential to at least 100,000.

Demands for New Branches Will Be Met

In statements made by Deputy Yılmaz Büyükaydın, it was stated that demands regarding curling and archery branches across Trabzon will also be fulfilled.

Sports Support from Local Governments

Trabzon Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Ahmet Metin Genç emphasized that, as local government, support provided to amateur sports clubs, summer sports schools, and disadvantaged groups will continue.

Investments Will Be Closely Followed

AK Party Provincial Chairman Sezgin Mumcu and Deputy Vehbi Koç underlined that Trabzon is a deeply rooted sports city. Both figures stated that all sports investments planned for the city will be closely followed.
