Thousands of Children Participated in Summer Sports Courses in Muğla
Summer sports events held in Muğla have been successfully completed. Following the training sessions contributing to the physical and social development of the youth, preparations for the winter season have accelerated.
During the 2026 summer sports courses organized by the Muğla Metropolitan Municipality, over four thousand children received training in 17 branches across eight different facilities.
Summer Period Activities
Within the scope of the Muğla Metropolitan Municipality's 2026 summer sports courses, a total of 4,254 children were served across eight facilities. Throughout the summer, children had the opportunity to receive training accompanied by expert instructors in 17 different sports branches.
Branch Diversity
In the organization organized by the Department of Youth and Sports Services, activities were carried out in many fields such as swimming, volleyball, taekwondo, folk dances, athletics, chess, basketball, tennis, gymnastics, and football. Additionally, optimist sailing, table tennis, kickboxing, ice skating, cycling, kids zumba, and kids pilates courses were also included.
Development Goals
With these courses conducted under the supervision of expert instructors in their fields, it was aimed to support the physical development of children. At the same time, the goal was to instill teamwork, discipline, self-confidence, and social communication skills.
Winter Period Preparations
Following the conclusion of the summer courses, the municipality has started winter period works to continue sports activities without interruption. Within the framework of the Winter Sports Courses, training is planned to be provided in branches such as yoga, taekwondo, zumba, pilates, volleyball, and basketball.
