Tour of İstanbul 2026 Cycling Race Begins with Four Days of Excitement
Organized under the auspices of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the international cycling tour brings numerous teams from different countries together in Istanbul.
The Tour of İstanbul 2026 cycling race, organized under the auspices of the Ministry of Youth and Sports and coordinated by the Turkish Cycling Federation, starts today with four days of competition.
Supporters and Partners of the Organization
The major organization, carried out under the auspices of the Ministry of Youth and Sports and coordinated by the Turkish Cycling Federation, will last for four days.
The event is brought to life with the support of the Istanbul Valorship, Fatih Municipality and other district municipalities, as well as the Spor Toto Organization Presidency, the UCI, and Shimano.
Participating Teams and Countries
This year's international cycling tour features a total of sixteen teams from eight different countries, and high-level competition is expected.
The well-established Belgian team Lotto-Intermarche, a participant in the Tour de France, one of the world's most important organizations, will also pedal on the roads of Istanbul.
Struggle of Professional and Continental Teams
In addition to the world team Lotto-Intermarche, five professional teams that are candidates to become world teams will compete for the podium in the organization.
Among the other teams in the tour, a total of ten continental teams, four of which are from Turkey, will display a fierce competition.
The Meaningful Mission of the Team Novo Nordisk
While there are also teams setting out with different missions in the Tour of İstanbul, Team Novo Nordisk stands out at the forefront of these.
The world's first all-diabetes professional cycling team, in which all athletes in its roster are Type 1 diabetes patients, will pedal in the organization.
