According to the official statement made by the Turkish Volleyball Federation, the athlete squad of the Turkish Men's National Volleyball Team for the 2026 European Championship, taking place from September 9 to 26, has been finalized.
Championship Details and Dates
The squad of the Turkish Men's National Volleyball Team for the 2026 European Championship has been announced. The tournament will be held from September 9 to 26.
This major tournament in which the national team will participate will be hosted by Italy, Bulgaria, Finland, and Romania.
Setter and Opposite Hitter Positions
According to the statement by the Turkish Volleyball Federation, Murat Yenipazar and Hilmi Şahin will serve in the setter position for the national team.
In the opposite hitter position, the squad includes the names Adis Lagumdzija and Kaan Gürbüz.
Outside Hitter and Middle Blocker Squad
Gökçen Yüksel, Efe Bayram, Mirza Lagumdzija, and Cafer Kirkit will play in the outside hitter rotation of the crescent-star team.
In the middle blocker position, Ahmet Tümer, Ahmet Samet Baltacı, Marko Matic, and Yunus Emre Tayaz were included in the squad.
Names in the Libero Position
Two players were determined for the libero position, which will shoulder the defense and reception load of the Turkish Men's National Volleyball Team.
Berkay Bayraktar and Abdulsamet Yalçın were included in the list shared by the federation as liberos.
