Strong precipitation and temperature drop expected across Turkey in the new week

According to forecasts by the General Directorate of Meteorology, Turkey is entering the influence of heavy downpours and significant temperature drops with the new week.

According to the information shared by the General Directorate of Meteorology, a rainy and cool weather wave is expected across Turkey in the new week.

Starting from Monday, heavy downpours will be seen in most parts of the country, beginning from the interior parts of Marmara and the Aegean.

Wind and temperature drops will occur

While the wind in the Marmara region is expected to blow at speeds of forty to sixty kilometers per hour, temperatures will drop starting from the western regions.

It is estimated that air temperatures across the country will fall below seasonal norms in the following days of the week.

Precipitation will spread across the entire country

The rainy weather wave, initially seen in the western parts, will expand towards the interior and eastern regions over time and affect all of Turkey.

The system, projected to continue into the first days of October, will maintain precipitation along with partly cloudy skies in the interior regions on Thursday and Friday.

Caution should be exercised against negativities

Experts stated that citizens should be cautious against potential risks such as floods, water inundation, lightning strikes, and disruptions in transportation.
