Celebrating 70 Years of Nuclear Science Cooperation Between Vietnam and JINR

The 70th anniversary of cooperation between Vietnam and the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research was celebrated with a ceremony and conference hosted by the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology.

Celebrating the Seventieth Year of Cooperation

An official ceremony and scientific conference were held to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the partnership between Vietnam and the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research.

At the event hosted by the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology, the parties evaluated past successful projects and future strategic goals.

Transition from Participation to Co-creation

Following the seventy-year partnership, it was decided that relations would transition from participation to co-creation, focusing on the development of human resources and infrastructure.

In this new era, the aim is to further increase joint scientific programs and research capacities.

Contributions of Scientists

Academy President Professor Tran Hong Thai emphasized that the greatest achievement over the past 70 years has been the generation of Vietnamese scientists trained in Dubna.

These trained researchers have played a key role in establishing and developing the scientific bridge between the two countries.

Strategic Partnership and New Initiatives

Institute Director Professor Grigory V. Trubnikov drew attention to Vietnam's strong progress in fundamental research.

The initiative of the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology to establish a laboratory in the country for accelerators and high-energy radiation applications was met with appreciation.
