Dung Quat Refinery Special Fuel Project Under Evaluation for Ho Chi Minh Award
A project developing special fuel production technology for national defense and security purposes in Vietnam is being reviewed for the prestigious science award.
The special fuel production technology project at the Dung Quat Refinery, implemented by Binh Son Refining and Petrochemical Joint Stock Company, has been submitted for evaluation under the 7th Ho Chi Minh Award for Science and Technology.
Project Review Process
A delegation from the Ministry of Science and Technology held an official meeting at the BSR facilities to conduct an on-site inspection and evaluation of the project.
Professor Vu Thi Thu Ha, chairperson of the state-level specialized council, emphasized the strategic importance of the project.
Strategic and Economic Dimension
In addition to its scientific and technological value, the project holds critical importance for economic efficiency and the country's national defense.
By supplying special fuels tailored to the needs of military units, it has contributed to preventing foreign dependency.
Financial Contributions
With an investment of approximately VND 25.7 billion, the total revenue generated by the project has reached VND 4,058.9 billion.
Thanks to these production activities, savings ranging from 15 to 20 percent have been achieved in the Ministry of National Defense budget.
