Human refrigerator developed against extreme heat in Japan attracts intense interest
A special cabin developed in Japan against heatstroke cases, dubbed the human refrigerator, found hundreds of buyers in a short time.
Designed in Japan to mitigate the risks posed by high temperature and humidity, the cooling cabin called Dohiemon Box, which completely encloses the user, achieved great commercial success after its release and sold rapidly despite its price tag of hundreds of thousands of liras.
A New Solution Against Heatstroke
An unusual product has been developed in Japan to prevent heatstroke cases caused by the high temperature and humidity that increase their effect during the summer season.
SDRS, known for frozen food vending machines, and industrial equipment supplier Trusco Nakayama signed a joint venture to produce a cabin that cools the human body in a short time.
Cold Air Blown Inside the Cabin
Unlike traditional cooling systems, the Dohiemon Box does not target only a specific region; instead, it fully encloses the user, helping body temperature drop rapidly.
Cold air at a temperature of at least 5 degrees Celsius is supplied to the interior of the device, aiming to relieve users from extreme heat conditions in the shortest possible time.
Appeals to Outdoor Workers
It is stated that the product is extremely suitable for people working outdoors and under high temperatures, appealing to a wide working area.
Aoi Tofuku from the Trusco Nakayama Tokyo Product Department stated that the device is preferred by various groups ranging from construction site workers to personnel at outdoor events.
Usage Opportunities in Different Areas
It was stated that this special device, defined as a human refrigerator, can also be actively used in golf courses, baseball fields, and various outdoor entertainment areas.
Thus, it is targeted that both employees and visitors can be protected from the negative effects of extreme weather and cool down in a short time.
Hundreds of Units Sold in a Short Time
Taking its place on shelves in Japan in April, the Dohiemon Box managed to attract great interest from consumers and various businesses in a short time.
It was announced that a total of 328 units of the device have been sold so far, and its price is 1.5 million yen, which is approximately 450 thousand liras.
Goal to Expand into Foreign Markets
It was reported that the product, which is currently developed only for use within Japan, has new plans that excite the manufacturers.
The company aims to introduce the device to international markets outside Japan in the coming period and make it widespread in different countries where extreme heat is effective.
