International Exhibition on Fire Fighting Technology and Equipment Opens in Hanoi
A comprehensive international exhibition focusing on fire prevention, firefighting, and rescue technologies has opened its doors in Vietnam's capital, Hanoi.
A large-scale international exhibition on fire fighting technology and equipment was grandly opened in Hanoi, Vietnam, coordinated by the Fire Prevention, Fighting and Rescue Police Department (C07) under the Ministry of Public Security.
Exhibition Opening Details
The event, held at the Vietnam-Soviet Friendship Labor Cultural Palace, was organized in cooperation with the C07 Department of the Ministry of Public Security and relevant agencies.
Speeches delivered at the opening highlighted the significance of the event, marking the 65th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Fire Prevention, Fighting and Rescue Police Force and the 25th anniversary of the National Fire Prevention and Fighting Day.
New Risks and Technological Transformation
It was emphasized that with urbanization and industrialization, new risks are emerging in areas such as lithium-ion batteries and electric vehicles.
Against the backdrop of increasing risks, data-driven risk management and early warning systems were pointed out as being of vital importance.
Current Fire and Loss Statistics
Authorities shared with the public that 5,307 fires and explosions occurred nationwide between 2025 and the first eight months of 2026.
It was recorded that 164 people lost their lives, 208 people were injured, and material damage exceeded 1.4 trillion VND in these incidents.
Participant Profile and Side Events
The event brought together 13 international delegations from different countries, including Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Russia, and the United States.
Throughout the exhibition, international seminars, business dialogue forums, and awareness-raising activities for the public and students will be organized.
