Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır participated in the G20 sessions held in the USA, explaining Turkey's strategic goals in the field of artificial intelligence, the 2026-2030 Action Plan, and HIT-30 program investments to the international public.

G20 Innovation Sessions

Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır participated in the sessions held in the USA, covering Pro-Innovation Policy Frameworks for G20, Technology for Opportunity and Prosperity, Development of a Skilled Technical Workforce, Intellectual Property Policies for Artificial Intelligence, Artificial Intelligence for Standards and Standards for Artificial Intelligence, and Industrial Innovation and Investment in Supply Chains.

Emphasis on Artificial Intelligence

Making evaluations following the G20 Innovation Ministers Meeting, Minister Kacır stated that artificial intelligence is a critical technology heading that rapidly transforms all areas of life, much like electricity and the internet, drawing attention to the importance of developing this field for the benefit of humanity.

Action Plan and Training Targets

Within the scope of the 2026-2030 Artificial Intelligence Action Plan implemented under the leadership of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, it is aimed to provide artificial intelligence training to 5 million citizens within the next two years.

Training Experts and Professionals

In line with the announced plan, the goal is to train 100,000 artificial intelligence application professionals along with 10,000 artificial intelligence experts across Turkey.

Infrastructure and Data Initiative

Stating that public data sets will be opened to developers, Minister Kacır noted that the country's hardware infrastructure will be strengthened and data center capacity will be increased to the gigawatt level.

Private Sector Investments

Minister Kacır announced that a total of 10 billion dollars in private sector investments will be secured by 2030 through the HIT-30 program.
