National Science, Technology and Innovation Information System Officially Launched
The new digital platform, implemented by the Ministry of Science and Technology, consolidates indicators and databases in the field into a single center.
The Ministry of Science and Technology announced the official launch of the National Science, Technology and Innovation Information System, located at www.sti.gov.vn, on September 16.
Indicators Offered by the Digital Platform
Ranking among common digital platforms, the system provides users with access to 137 sector-specific statistical indicators and 17 national statistical indicators in the relevant field.
Ability to Establish Multi-Dimensional Data Connections
One of the standout core features of the system is its ability to establish multi-dimensional connections among data concerning science and technology organizations, scientists, projects, and publications.
Citation Data and Quality Assessment
The new information system has the capacity to calculate quality assessment indicators in addition to collecting citation data for Vietnamese scientific journals and articles.
National Integration and Secure Access
The system serves as a building block connected to the National Data Center, supports single sign-on via VNeID, and is ready for data sharing with the National Population Database.
Reform in Management and Digital Transformation Goal
Tran Dac Hien, Director of the Department of Information, Statistics, and Scientific Evaluation, along with Deputy Minister Le Xuan Dinh, emphasized the importance of the system and stated that it contributes to digital transformation.
