The University of Information and Communication Technology, affiliated with Thai Nguyen University, connects scientific research and technological development activities with practical needs. The university focuses on innovation efforts by strengthening cooperation with businesses and local authorities.

Scientific Research and Projects

The university has implemented one national-level project and two provincial-level projects with a total budget of over 11.6 billion VND. In addition, numerous institutional and university-level projects have been approved.

As part of the ongoing work, 108 scientific articles have been published and 2 patents have been registered. A total of 9 research groups have been established to develop in-depth research areas.

Areas with High Application Potential

Fields such as artificial intelligence, big data, the Internet of Things, and semiconductor technology are being developed. Robotics, digital transformation, and the digitization of cultural heritage are also among the priority areas of study.

Students won two awards at the 2026 Bac Ninh Open Robocon competition. Participation in competitions such as ROBOCON Vietnam 2026, Robocon Bac Ninh, AWRIS+, and APISI is encouraged by the university.

Cooperation Network and Achievements

The university has established the Institute of Innovation and Technology Transfer to strengthen the connections between research, businesses, and the market. The cooperation network encompasses more than 354 businesses and organizations.
