Step for technology and R&D cooperation between Vietnam and South Korea
Visiting the Korea Institute of Science and Technology in South Korea, the Vietnamese delegation decided to increase joint research and expert training activities between the two countries in the field of critical technologies.
During the contacts made within the scope of the Vietnamese National Assembly Chairman's visit to South Korea, it was decided to deepen technological R&D cooperation between the two countries in strategic areas such as semiconductors, artificial intelligence, and biotechnology.
Visit to the Korea Institute of Science and Technology
A high-level Vietnamese delegation led by Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung and Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Bui Hoang Phuong visited the Korea Institute of Science and Technology within the framework of official contacts.
Strategic Technology Areas and Joint Works
It was emphasized that the meeting aimed to expand joint research programs in areas such as semiconductor chips, artificial intelligence, batteries, energy storage technology, and biotechnology.
Scientist Training and Educational Support
During the talks, it was requested to increase the institutional support provided for young Vietnamese scientists and engineers to receive training in KIST laboratories.
Inspections of Research Centers and Laboratories
Within the scope of their contacts, the Vietnamese delegation made inspections at the Semiconductor Technology Center, Quantum Technology Center, and Artificial Intelligence Institute operating within the institute.
