Strategic Technology Development Tasks Accelerated with a Focus on Final Products
At a thematic meeting held at the government headquarters, it was decided that strategic technology tasks would be completed by the end of 2026, based on final products and efficient resource utilization.
The Task Force for Science, Technology, Innovation, and Strategic Technology Development, meeting under the chairmanship of Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung, reviewed the progress of strategic technology development tasks belonging to 10 ministries and agencies, evaluating the legal framework and budget details.
Purpose and Participation of the Meeting
A thematic meeting was held at the government headquarters under the chairmanship of Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung, Head of the Task Force for Science, Technology, Innovation, and Strategic Technology Development.
Evaluated Proposals
During the session, a total of 28 proposals belonging to 8 out of 10 ministries and agencies were addressed, and 27 of them were evaluated in detail.
Legal Framework and Budget Status
Minister Vu Hai Quan announced that obstacles in strategic technology tasks have been largely overcome, and a legal framework covering project development, evaluation, and approval processes has been established. It was reported that the total estimated budget is approximately 5,300 billion VND.
Timeline and Objectives
Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung requested that the approved tasks be endorsed before August 28, 2026, and that tangible products be achieved by the end of 2026.
