TEKNOFEST Unmanned Ground Vehicle Competition Concludes in Mardin
The Unmanned Ground Vehicle Competition held in Mardin as part of TEKNOFEST Southeast has concluded, and the winning teams will be announced in Şanlıurfa.
The Unmanned Ground Vehicle Competition, held in Mardin within the scope of TEKNOFEST Southeast, has come to an end. Thirty finalist teams competed in the organization held at the Artuklu Fair Area.
Competition Details
The organization, which started on September 9 at the Artuklu Fair Area under the execution of ASELSAN and the auspices of the Governor's Office within the scope of TEKNOFEST Southeast, has been completed. Thirty finalist teams consisting of 410 students from various regions competed to get the highest score on the challenging course with the unmanned ground vehicles they developed.
Award-Winning Teams
In the competition, the Teknomer Kara Muhafız team, formed by Gazi University students, was deemed worthy of the best team spirit award. Meanwhile, the Kapsül Raclab Rover team from Konya Technical University won the best design award.
Announcement of Rankings
It was reported that the other teams ranking in the competition will be announced at TEKNOFEST Southeast to be held in Şanlıurfa. The Mardin leg of the organization was officially completed with a closing ceremony.
Governor Akkoyun's Speech
Mardin Governor Tuncay Akkoyun expressed their pleasure in witnessing the perseverance and success of the youth during his speech at the closing ceremony. Akkoyun emphasized that the scientific heritage of the past meets the technology of the future.

ASELSAN General Manager Ahmet Akyol stated that TEKNOFEST has become a global event and that young people will build the technologies of the future. Akyol noted that they aim for a fully independent and technology-producing Turkey.
