Thanh Hoa Province Enhances International Cooperation for Science and Digital Transformation
Thanh Hoa leaders shared the province's vision for technology and digitalization at the NGO conference in Hai Phong.
Le Quang Hung, Vice Chairman of the Thanh Hoa Provincial People's Committee, attended the 2026 Foreign Non-Governmental Organizations Conference organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, sharing the province's international cooperation goals in the fields of science, technology, and digital transformation.
Purpose of the Conference
A conference was organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs at the Hai Phong City Convention and Performance Center under the theme Accompanying Vietnam in a New Development Stage.
The event was attended by leaders of central agencies, local administrators, and nearly three thousand delegates from about one hundred non-governmental organizations.
Emphasis on Science and Technology
Provincial People's Committee Vice Chairman Le Quang Hung delivered a presentation at the event and actively participated in the discussion session.
Within the scope of the meeting, delegates discussed the resources of non-governmental organizations and issues of sustainable development.
The Province's Digitalization Steps
Thanh Hoa province has identified science, technology, innovation, and digital transformation as a key breakthrough to enhance its competitiveness.
While some databases connected to the National Data Center have been put into operation, electronic document systems are actively being used.
Status of International Projects
Since the year 2021, the province has received millions of dollars in project support from numerous non-governmental organizations.
In the upcoming period, the targets include developing digital skills and applying artificial intelligence in healthcare and education.
