The dredging vessel UAB MAVI VATAN, equipped with suction features and built for the first time in Turkey with a domestic design in Turkish shipyards, has been launched and its sea trials process has been initiated.
Launching and Construction Process
The suction-capable dredging vessel UAB MAVI VATAN, constructed for the first time in Turkey with a domestic design in Turkish shipyards, has been successfully launched into the water.
Following the completion of the construction phases of the vessel, whose first block welding took place on April 10, 2025, the launching operation was carried out.
Technical Specifications and Capacity
The dredging vessel named UAB MAVI VATAN has a length of 85 meters, a dredging depth of 20 meters, and a capacity of 2,000 cubic meters.
Thanks to its technical equipment, the vessel will play an active role in seabed dredging and cleaning operations to be conducted in bays.
Automation and Operational Capability
One of the most prominent features of the vessel is that it possesses a fully automated system and is capable of dredging while underway.
This feature aims to increase the working capability and overall operational efficiency in seabed dredging operations.
Commissioning Schedule
For the launched UAB MAVI VATAN, a comprehensive sea trials period to be carried out in the coming months is now beginning.
Following the completion of testing and sea trials, the vessel is planned to be actively commissioned.
