Vietnamese Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung visited the Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST) to hold meetings as part of his official visit to South Korea.
Inter-Delegation Participation
The visit was attended by Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Bui Hoang Phuong, Ministry of Foreign Affairs officials, KIST President Oh Sang Rok, and representatives of various institutes from both countries.
KIST and VKIST Cooperation
KIST President Oh Sang Rok drew attention to the institute's 60-year history and emphasized the importance of the work carried out with the Vietnam-Korea Institute of Science and Technology.
Emphasis on Strategic Partnership
Deputy Prime Minister Ho Quoc Dung expressed his wish that KIST continue to be a strategic partner for Vietnamese research institutions and that cooperation between the two institutions be elevated to a new level.
New Proposals in Technology
During the talks, it was proposed to expand joint research programs in areas such as semiconductor chips, artificial intelligence, batteries, energy storage technology, and biotechnology.
Inspection of Research Centers
As part of his working visit, Ho Quoc Dung and his accompanying delegation inspected the Semiconductor Technology Center, Quantum Technology Center, and the AI and Robotics Institute within KIST.
