At an official conference held in Hanoi, it was announced that in accordance with the Secretariat's decision, Vu Thanh Mai has been appointed as the Vice President of the Vietnam Academy of Science and Technology.

The details of the new assignments were shared with the public within the framework of Decision No. 302-QDNS/TW dated August 22, 2026.

New Duties and Committee Memberships

Having left his position as Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department, Vu Thanh Mai transitioned to his new position in the academy's management.

With this appointment, Mai will also serve on the Executive Committee and Standing Committees of the Academy Party Committee for the 2025-2030 term.

Ngo Dong Hai, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department, attended the handover and notification conference.

Additionally, Academy President Tran Hong Thai and other senior officials of the institution were present at the meeting.

Throughout his career, he has undertaken various critical positions, including the Central Youth Union and the Central Propaganda Department.
