Winning Projects of the 2026 Post-Harvest Technology Competition Determined
A total of 82 products competed in the contest showcasing innovative solutions in the agricultural and food sectors, and the best ones were awarded following the jury's evaluation.
Organized in collaboration with the Center for Young Scientists and Technology Experts Development and the Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade, the 2026 Post-Harvest Technology Competition featured 82 entries, with awards presented across various categories.
General Details of the Competition
The Center for Young Scientists and Technology Experts Development, in cooperation with the Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade, held this special event on September 25, 2026.
The competition, which received a total of 82 product submissions—45 in Category A and 37 in Category B—aimed to bring innovative solutions to challenges encountered in agricultural production.
Focus Areas of the Categories
Under Category A, topics such as production processes, food processing technologies, post-harvest inspection technologies, enhancing nutritional value, and extending shelf life were addressed.
Category B focused on areas such as new materials for preserving agricultural products, preservation methods, minimizing losses, and eco-friendly packaging designs.
First-Prize Winning Projects
As a result of the evaluations, two prominent projects achieved great success by being deemed worthy of the first prize.
One of these projects was a water chestnut powder product developed by the team from the Ho Chi Minh City University of Industry and Trade, while the other was an artificial intelligence-based system from the Ho Chi Minh City University of Education.

The competition committee did not forget other successful participants, presenting various rankings within the scope of the organization.
Following the evaluations, 2 second-place, 3 third-place, and 5 honorable mention awards were presented to their recipients.
