Exercise of the Right of Reply at the UN

Turkey exercised its right of reply from the podium against the allegations of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu during the United Nations General Assembly session in New York.

This diplomatic response was officially carried out through a young diplomat at the third secretary level of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Rejection of Accusations

In the official statement made on behalf of Turkey, it was emphasized that the baseless and malicious accusations directed at Turkey and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan were categorically rejected.

The departure of numerous delegations from the hall during Netanyahu's speech was characterized as a strong diplomatic condemnation.

Attempt to Conceal Regional Actions

The statement argued that Netanyahu's allegations were aimed at concealing Israel's actions in Gaza, the occupied West Bank, Lebanon, and Syria.

It was stated that thousands of civilians had been massacred in the region, houses and hospitals had been turned into ruins, and schools had been targeted.

Support for the Palestinian Cause

Stating that Israel exports war and destruction while Turkey builds peace, it was conveyed that support for the two-state solution will continue.

It was reported that this support will persist until an independent and sovereign Palestinian state is established on the basis of the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.
