Türkiye's total annualized trade volume with Organization of Turkic States (OTS) member and observer countries reached $27.8 billion as of July 2026.
Change in Trade Volume with OTS Countries
In a statement made by the Ministry of Trade, it was stated that relations with OTS member and observer countries are being developed on the basis of shared history, cultural ties, and strategic cooperation.
It was reported that Türkiye's foreign trade volume with OTS member countries stood at $871 million in 2002 and reached $16.9 billion at the end of 2025, increasing by approximately 20 times.
Countries with the Highest Trade Volume in 2025
In 2025, Kazakhstan was recorded as the country with which Türkiye conducted the highest trade volume among OTS members, amounting to $7.8 billion.
Kazakhstan was followed by Azerbaijan with $4.3 billion, Uzbekistan with $3.1 billion, and Kyrgyzstan with $1.6 billion, respectively.
Developments in the First Seven Months of 2026
Türkiye's foreign trade volume with OTS member countries in the January-July 2026 period showed an increase of 6.6 percent compared to the same period of the previous year.
With this increase, the trade volume in question rose to $10.1 billion during this period.
Trade Realized with Observer Countries
The trade volume with OTS observer countries—Turkmenistan, Hungary, and the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus—increased by 6.8 percent in 2025, reaching $10 billion.
In the January-July 2026 period, the total trade volume with these observer countries amounted to $6.1 billion, with an increase of 5.1 percent compared to the same period of the previous year.
The Position of Turkic Geography in Global Trade
In the statement made by the Ministry of Trade, it was expressed that the shift of the center of gravity of global production and trade from west to east has increased the importance of the Turkic geography.
It was emphasized that this transformation in the global economy makes regional cooperations more valuable.
Middle Corridor and Future Targets
It was noted that the Middle Corridor offers significant opportunities for the economic integration of the Turkic world.
The Ministry stated that efforts will be resolutely continued to strengthen economic and commercial integration within the framework of the OTS.
