Weather forecast in Turkey for Tuesday, October 6: Heavy rain warning
According to the latest forecasts by the Meteorological Service, heavy rain, fog, haze, and dust transport are affecting the country, with strong precipitation warnings issued for many provinces.
While partly cloudy weather is expected across Turkey on Tuesday, October 6, rain and thundershowers are forecasted for the Mediterranean, the southern and eastern parts of Central Anatolia, as well as Eastern and Southeastern Anatolia.
Heavy Rain Expected in the East and Southeast
Locally heavy precipitation is expected in the surrounding areas of Bingöl, Muş, Bitlis, Tunceli, Elazığ, Hakkari, Siirt, Şırnak, Diyarbakır, Batman, Adıyaman, Malatya, Van, and Erzurum. The rainfall is forecasted to intensify in the afternoon around Kars, Ağrı, and Iğdır.
Warnings for Hatay and Osmaniye
Locally heavy rain and thundershowers are forecasted starting from the morning hours along the coastal sections of Hatay and the southern and eastern parts of Osmaniye.
Impact of Fog, Haze, and Dust Transport
Fog and haze are expected during the morning and night hours in the southern and eastern parts of Marmara and the inland sections of the Northern Aegean. Dust transport is forecasted in Southeastern Anatolia.
Regional Weather Forecasts
While no storms are expected at sea, rainy weather is projected to prevail across the Mediterranean, the southern and eastern parts of Central Anatolia, the Black Sea coasts, and general areas of Eastern and Southeastern Anatolia.
