New Salary and Support Rates Approved for Local Healthcare Workers and Support Staff

At its 6th session, the City People's Council unanimously adopted a resolution on a new monthly support regime for village and neighborhood healthcare workers, village midwives, and individuals cooperating with the public.

Support Regime and Decision-Making Process

During its sixth session, the City People's Council approved the new support regime covering healthcare workers and individuals cooperating with the public in the region.

Rates for Healthcare Workers and Midwives

It was decided that a support rate of 0.7 or 0.5 times the base salary will be applied for village and neighborhood healthcare workers and village midwives starting from July 15, 2026.

Household Size and Regional Criteria

Workers in villages with 350 or more households, in disadvantaged regions, and in neighborhoods with more than 500 households will receive a payment of 0.7 times the base salary.

A support rate of 0.5 times the base salary will be provided for healthcare personnel and midwives serving in all other villages and neighborhoods.

Remuneration for Public Cooperation Officers

New monthly remuneration rates for individuals cooperating with the public were approved and put into effect, valid starting from July 1, 2026.

Support Distribution for Cooperation Officers

Cooperation officers in densely populated or disadvantaged regions receive 0.5 times the base salary, while those in other regions receive 0.4 times the base salary.

Budget and Financial Expectations

The City People's Committee stated that the new support levels are higher compared to previous decrees and will impose an additional burden on the budget.

According to the calculations made, budget expenditures are expected to exceed 22.135 billion VND in the last six months of 2026.
