After failing to make the American Presidents Cup roster, J.J. Spaun participated in the overseas tournament and surged to the top by making birdies on four of the last five holes.
Ranked 17th in the world, Spaun recorded a 67 in the final round to reach a 17-under total score and lift the championship trophy.
Strong Contenders Sharing Second Place
Aaron Rai, Adam Scott, Rory McIlroy, and Manuel Elvira finished the tournament 15-under par to share second place, with each earning $597,150.
Although Manuel Elvira captured the lead by making an eagle on the 17th hole, he lost his chance at the championship by making a double bogey on the 18th par-5 hole.
