At Least Seven Dead in Russian Drone Attacks in Ukraine
As casualties rise from intense Russian drone attacks, Ukraine announced it has made progress on the battlefield.
At least seven people have been killed and over eighty civilians injured in continuous drone attacks carried out by Russia across Ukraine.
Civilian Settlements and Targets
Russian forces targeted apartment buildings, offices, gas stations, and the building of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine in many parts of the country, notably the capital Kyiv. These continuous attacks are stated to be carried out with the aim of breaking Ukraine's resistance and weakening its economy.
Casualties in the Regions
Four people lost their lives in the Kyiv region, while three people died and numerous others were injured due to a drone strike hitting an office center in the city of Dnipro. Civilian buildings were also damaged in the Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, Odesa, and Chernihiv regions.
Developments on the Eastern Front
The Ukrainian army announced that it has achieved some successes along front lines that have remained unchanged for a long time. The Third Corps reported that a significant area was recaptured as a result of operations conducted in the Donetsk region.
Russia's Statements
The Russian Ministry of Defense announced that the villages of Novovodiane in the Donetsk region and Ulanove in the Sumy region have been captured. The ministry stated that Ukrainian data centers as well as military and logistic points were also targeted.
Targets Inside Russia
It was reported that Ukraine launched attacks with long-range drones targeting defense factories and oil facilities in the Tula, Voronezh, and Krasnodar regions, and fires broke out at three infrastructure facilities in Krasnodar.
