Call for International Intervention
According to a statement by the Palestinian Ministry of Health, Minister Abu Ramadan participated in an online program organized by the World Health Organization and delivered a speech. In his speech, he stated that international intervention is imperative for building the health system in Gaza.
Scope of Reconstruction
Abu Ramadan underlined that the reconstruction to be carried out in Gaza is not limited to repairing buildings and equipment. He stated that the health system must regain its capacity to provide essential services in a sustainable manner.

Attention was drawn to the great importance of strengthening emergency services, rehabilitation, and mental health services alongside primary healthcare. Supporting these areas plays a critical role in terms of public health.
Basic Needs of the Sector
Priorities in the health sector include repairing damaged health facilities and resuming essential medical services. Additionally, it is necessary to provide medicines and medical consumables as well as support health personnel.
Broadly Participated Meeting
WHO representatives, international partners, and United Nations agencies came together at the meeting held. During the discussions, healthcare needs in the region and damage assessment results were addressed comprehensively.
Early Recovery and Long-Term Plans
Within the scope of the meeting, how urgent humanitarian intervention would be harmonized with early recovery processes and long-term reconstruction needs was discussed in detail.
