Iranian state media reported that one person was killed and three others were injured in an attack on a commercial vessel near the Strait of Hormuz. Meanwhile, the Houthis in Yemen announced that they carried out drone and missile attacks targeting southern Saudi Arabia.

Iranian state media announced that an Iranian commercial vessel sailing off Qeshm Island, the largest island in the Persian Gulf, was struck.

It was shared that one person lost their lives and three others were injured as a result of the attack.

The United Kingdom Maritime Trade Operations organization also reported that a vessel was struck by an object while transiting the strait.

Houthi Move Against Saudi Arabia

The Iran-backed Yemeni Houthis announced that they launched unmanned aerial vehicles and missiles toward neighboring Saudi Arabia.

Houthi military spokesperson Yahya Saree claimed that a military base located in the Sharurah governorate of the Najran region was targeted.

Saudi civil defense units reported that a projectile fell into the Al-Tawwal governorate on the country's southern border.

In the incident, two people were injured, while a mosque and numerous buildings were damaged.

These recent clashes increase the risk of a return to civil war following the four-year truce in Yemen.
