Elder Thabo Lebethoa's Address at the October 2026 General Conference
Elder Thabo Lebethoa of the Seventy spoke at the October 2026 general conference about how to invite the Savior's light into our lives.
Speaking during the Sunday afternoon session of the October 2026 general conference, Elder Thabo Lebethoa of the Seventy shared how to draw more fully upon the Savior's light through faith, daily scripture study, and repentance.
The Savior's Light and Life
Recalling that the Savior said He is the light and the life of the world, Elder Thabo Lebethoa noted that He enlightens our minds through His Spirit.
He emphasized that this divine light is also manifested through His perfect life and teachings.
A Solution to Life's Challenges
He stated that Jesus Christ is always the answer to all the anxieties, trials, and struggles we face in life.
He noted that Jesus Christ can bring light in our darkest moments and rekindle hope where there is despair.
The Importance of Faith and Daily Study
He expressed that to receive more of the Savior's light, our faith in Him must first be increased.
Second, he shared that daily, consistent study of the scriptures—especially the Book of Mormon—is essential.
Repentance and Consistent Effort
As a third step, he drew attention to the importance of applying repentance in our lives every day.
He stated that in scripture study, the sincerity and consistency of effort matter more than the method, timing, or duration.
