Israeli Military Forces Kill Militant Involved in October 7 Kidnapping
Israeli forces announced the killing of Saher Nidal Latfi Sakr, who abducted Noa Argamani and Avinatan Or during the October 7 attacks and provided weapons to Hamas.
The Israeli military and Shin Bet issued a joint statement announcing that Saher Nidal Latfi Sakr, who kidnapped Noa Argamani and Avinatan Or from the Nova music festival on October 7, 2023, was neutralized in an operation conducted over the weekend.
Details of the Joint Operation
The Israel Defense Forces and Shin Bet released an official statement regarding the operation carried out in cooperation with Unit 33 Gideonim of Lahav 433.
The joint statement clearly stated that Saher Nidal Latfi Sakr, who was linked to global jihadist organizations, was targeted and neutralized.
Involvement in the October 7 Attacks
It was documented that Sakr forced Noa Argamani and Avinatan Or onto the back of a motorcycle and abducted them to Gaza during the October 7 massacre.
Military officials noted that this individual supplied weapons to Hamas throughout the war and advanced attacks against Israeli soldiers and civilians.
Hostage Rescue Processes
Noa Argamani was rescued alive from Gaza and returned to her country during Operation Arnon, which was carried out on June 8, 2024.
Avinatan Or was freed and regained his freedom in October 2025 under the Gaza agreement brokered by U.S. President Donald Trump.
Another Operation Targeting a Hamas Commander
Later on Sunday, the Israeli military and Shin Bet issued another statement sharing the details of a new operation.
It was announced that Muhammad Hamad Muhammad Gabain, a Hamas military commander who played a role in holding nine hostages kidnapped on October 7, was also killed.
