According to election commission data, a left-leaning Bosniak, a pro-Russian Serb, and a Croatian nationalist are leading the race in Bosnia and Herzegovina's tripartite presidency election.

As the results of the critical tripartite presidential election held in Bosnia and Herzegovina begin to clarify, the dominance of left-wing and nationalist candidates has drawn attention with the opening of the majority of ballot boxes.

Election Results and Ratios

According to data from the Central Election Commission of Bosnia and Herzegovina obtained from more than 96 percent of the ballot boxes, figures from different political lines are leading the tripartite council election. In a process aligned with the predictions of the Poliwave platform, voter turnout remained at around 42 percent in total across the two entities.

Situation in the Bosniak and Croat Wings

Denis Becirovic from the Social Democratic Party took the lead by leaving his rivals behind in the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. In the same entity, Darijana Filipovic from the Croatian Democratic Union was also among the leading figures with her nationalist and pro-European line.

Vote Distribution in the Republika Srpska

In the Republika Srpska entity, current council member Zeljka Cvijanovic declared her leadership by securing over 55 percent of the votes. Making statements in Banja Luka, Milorad Dodik stated that his party's candidate, Savo Minic, received the most votes for the entity's presidency.

Election Process and Challenges

Due to new electronic voting systems and biometric identity verifications, voting procedures were prolonged at some polling stations. Economic slowdown and the slow progress of EU accession negotiations across the country emerged as the main factors increasing voter dissatisfaction.
