Minister of Industry and Technology Mehmet Fatih Kacır met with Imad N. Fakhoury, Regional Vice President for the Middle East and Central Asia at the International Finance Corporation (IFC), a member of the World Bank Group, in Istanbul to evaluate investment potential and strategic areas of cooperation.

International Financing and Transformation

Making a post on his social media account, Minister Kacır stated that they discussed expanding international financing opportunities in the fields of high technology, green transformation, and digitalization.

The meeting also included a detailed evaluation of joint steps that can be taken to support strategic investments in the country.

Global Connections and Master Plan

The Industrial Zones Master Plan, the Development Road, the Zangezur Corridor, and the Istanbul Northern Railway Crossing projects were among the important topics on the agenda of the meeting.

It was emphasized that Turkey has further strengthened its position in global value chains thanks to the new transportation and logistics connections to be established.

Green Production and Digital Investments

It was stated that international resources for green production are being mobilized through the Turkey Industrial Decarbonization Investment Platform.

Additionally, it was noted that productivity increases in industry are rapidly sustained through investments in robotics, artificial intelligence, and digital transformation.
