NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte made evaluations at the political headquarters in Brussels following the Russian drone strikes carried out near the Polish border.
Stating that Sunday's attacks demonstrated Russia's growing desperation, Rutte emphasized that the 32-member alliance will strengthen its defense along the eastern border.
Poland and Ukraine Increase Border Security
Following the drones that fell near the Polish border, the Warsaw and Kyiv administrations elevated security cooperation along the border line to the highest level.
Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk stated in remarks on Sunday that Moscow tends to intensify its campaign along border lines with European countries.
Wreckage Found in the Baltic Sea and the Kremlin's Response
Polish Defense Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz announced in a statement on Monday that the military had retrieved wreckage assessed to belong to a Russian military drone in the Baltic Sea near Jaroslawiec.
Kremlin Spokesperson Dmitry Peskov stated in a Monday briefing that Russian forces will continue to carry out operations across the entirety of Ukrainian territory.
