Human rights experts mandated by the United Nations expressed their belief that the US committed war crimes in two separate strikes in Iran. This scrutiny includes a strike on a school located in the southern city of Minab.
The international fact-finding mission reported that these two airstrikes, which resulted in the deaths of at least 178 civilians including women and children, are being evaluated as indiscriminate attacks leading to civilian casualties.
Downward Trend in Oil Prices
Crude oil prices in global markets declined for the second consecutive day following announcements that a damaged oil pipeline in Saudi Arabia will resume operations shortly.
US Energy Secretary Chris Wright stated that three pumping stations were hit, but the pipeline will be operational again in a relatively short time. The barrel price of Brent crude dropped to around $103.50.
