Over 974 million liras in healthcare support provided for hearing-impaired citizens
The Ministry covered bionic ear, implant, and device expenses for the hearing-impaired in 2025 and the first half of 2026.

Minister of Labour and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan made an important statement on his social media account regarding World Deaf Awareness Week.
The post emphasized that the state always stands by hearing-impaired citizens during their examination, medication, test, and treatment processes.
Support within the Scope of the Healthcare Implementation Communiqué
To support access to healthcare services, a wide range of areas from examinations to medications and medical devices is supported within the framework of the SUT.
Payments for hearing aids and implants are also regularly delivered to eligible beneficiaries within this scope.
Bionic Ear and Implant Payments
According to the data shared by Minister Işıkhan, a large budget was allocated for bionic ears in 2025 and the first 6 months of 2026.
During this period, total procedure and material payments for the bionic ear, also known as a cochlear implant, reached 925,558,778 liras.
Other Device and Treatment Expenses
During the same period, total procedure and material payments for bone-anchored hearing aids were recorded as 39,643,399 liras.
A total payment of 9,193,041 liras was made for middle ear and brainstem implants.
Total Healthcare Support Figure
The total payments made under the three specified categories in 2025 and the first half of 2026 reached 974,395,218 liras.
The Ministry continues its efforts to strengthen the access of hearing-impaired individuals to medical devices and treatment services.
