Presidential Symphony Orchestra to celebrate its 200th anniversary on world stages

Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy announced the 200th-anniversary international concert program covering Bucharest, Prague, Vienna, and New York to celebrate the Presidential Symphony Orchestra's artistic journey continuing since 1826.

International Concert Program Announced

Minister of Culture and Tourism Mehmet Nuri Ersoy shared the international concert calendar of the Presidential Symphony Orchestra in a statement on his social media account.

Ersoy stated that through the concerts the CSO will give in Bucharest, Prague, Vienna, and New York, Turkey's rich artistic heritage will be conveyed to the world through the universal language of music.

First Stop Will Be Bucharest

The international tour of the Presidential Symphony Orchestra will kick off with a concert to be held at the Bucharest National Opera House on November 3, 2026.

This concert, organized specially for Republic Day, will be conducted by conductor Bujor Hoinic, and various pieces will be performed during the program.

European Tour Begins in March 2027

The orchestra's European tour will take place in March 2027 and continue under the direction of conductor Cemi'i Can Deliorman.

Renowned cellist Mischa Maisky will take the stage as a soloist in the concerts in Prague and Vienna.

Finale at New York Carnegie Hall

The CSO's 200th-anniversary international program will be crowned with a concert to be held at New York's Carnegie Hall on September 21, 2027.

This final concert at Carnegie Hall, one of the most prominent venues on the world classical music scene, will also be conducted by Cemi'i Can Deliorman.
