Russian drone strikes Security Service of Ukraine headquarters
Seven people were injured in an attack in the Ukrainian capital, Kyiv. President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has ordered a concrete response to the attack.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced that a drone sent by Russia targeted the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) building in central Kyiv. Seven people were injured as a result of the attack on the building located opposite Saint Sophia's Cathedral, and emergency services were dispatched to the area.
Details and target of the attack
It was stated that the attack on the SBU headquarters building located on Volodymyrska Street directly targeted the office of Security Service Head Oleksandr Poklad.
Number of injured and intervention
Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko confirmed that the number of injured as a result of the attack has risen to seven. Search and rescue and medical teams continue their work at the scene.
Zelenskyy's instruction for a response
Making a statement after the attack, President Zelenskyy instructed SBU Head Poklad to make the necessary preparations to deliver a concrete and effective response to this attack.
