Saudi Arabia warns that the Houthi threat is global

Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud emphasized that the danger posed by the Houthis in Yemen has gone beyond borders, calling on the international community to protect critical shipping lanes. This statement came after Saudi air defense systems destroyed six ballistic missiles directed at the kingdom.

Call to the International Community

Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, evaluating the situation on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly in New York, stated that Houthi attacks directly target not only Saudi territory but also commercial maritime shipping lanes in the Red Sea.

Ballistic Missile Attempts

In a statement made by the Saudi-led coalition forces, it was announced that six ballistic missiles, which were stated to have been fired toward the cities of Taif and Yanbu in Saudi Arabia, were successfully intercepted by air defense systems.

Following the missile threat, Saudi authorities issued emergency alerts in several regions, including Jeddah and Mecca. Shortly thereafter, it was announced to the public that the danger had been completely neutralized and the situation was brought under control.
